Hi, I’m Louise

A little bit about me:

I’m a strong believer that you are only as good as the people you associate with. I began working in a gym June 2019 because I figured if I surrounded myself with healthy people putting in the effort it would motivate and inspire me to be better. Three months later I did my first ever running event, the City 2 Surf and four months after that a half marathon – with lots of PT encouragement from the best boss, Di, who patiently ran with me. Now my goal is to do a full marathon in September 2020!

Favourite quote

“Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back again.”

Fun facts

  • I’m a big fan of Vipassana Meditation. I’ve done two 10-day courses in Blackheath where you practice noble silence, meditate for 12 hours per day and have no access to electronics or books.
  • I worked at a 2-dollar shop for 7 years while I was at school and studying. This is where I developed a deep love for organising and tidying, which I took with me into administration.
  • I was in a shitty pyramid scheme for 2 years where I met my husband, everything happens for a reason.

A little bit about me!

I have always loved the gym and have always been enthusiastic to exercise. I have been at GYM 115 since July 2018 and haven’t looked back. I absolutely love being a part of the tribe and having a good chat with our members. If you didn’t already notice, I am quite tall and so had to put that gene to good use and so play netball. I am currently a training partner for the NSW Swifts 2020 and so if you don’t see me in the gym that’s where I probably am. I love the gym industry and I plan on being in it for a long time.

Favourite quote:

“The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.”

Fun facts:

  • I study Criminology and Criminal Justice at UNSW.
  • I love dogs and it’s a dream of mine to one day own a Bernese Mountain dog.
  • I used to do ballet, but was told to move on because I was too tall.
  • I train in Homebush 6 days a week.

Hi, I’m Julia

A little bit about me!

I’m a Physiotherapy student completing the final year of my degree. When I’m not using hospital patients as my guinea pigs to practice my skills, I’m here at Gym 115 making sure that members can get the most out of their experience. I’ve always been keen on helping people along their journey to improvement, whether they’re learning to walk again or training for a marathon.

Favourite quote:

“I’d rather be someone’s shot of whiskey than everyone’s cup of tea.”

Fun facts:

  • I have been pole dancing as a hobby for over 5 years
  • I also have a Bachelor in Anthropology and German
  • The only 2 foods I truly dislike are gin and desiccated coconut
  • I suffer from RBF

A little bit about me!

Before I worked here at 115, I worked at a burger place. Bit of a weird jump hey? I’d always liked fitness but had never thought about it from a career perspective. In July 2019 I was looking to escape my old job, yet I was still stuck looking for openings in hospitality. It wasn’t until someone suggested applying to work at a Gym that I even thought about it as a possibility. Applying for this job was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m so happy to finally be working somewhere that aligns with my interests and skills. Oh and the people help too. 😉

Fun facts:

  • I believe that the Creative Arts are an important part of children’s education and shouldn’t be taken for granted. I consider Creativity in the same vein as Fitness, as the end goal is identical – to have a healthy mind and body! There is something in the Arts & Fitness for everyone.
  • I was homeschooled! I’ve never studied at a “real” school.
  • I broke my wrist when I was 15 and it looked like the letter S.
